Riding on the success of My India My flag event which bagged a Guinness Record, Quanta-G, will now be conducting ‘Womanathon - By Men for Women’ on Women\'s Day, which falls on March 8. Actor Rajasekhar and wife Jeevitha were the chief guests at the unveiling event of the marathon which was held on Thursday.
Riding on the success of My India My flag event which bagged a Guinness Record, Quanta-G, will now be conducting ‘Womanathon - By Men for Women’ on Women's Day, which falls on March 8. Actor Rajasekhar and wife Jeevitha were the chief guests at the unveiling event of the marathon which was held on Thursday. The marathon will be held simultaneously in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai.
“Womanathon is a platform for men to celebrate the women in their lives, salute their presence and pledge to respect women,” said Rajasekhar. The marathon, which goes by the motto ‘run with her and for her’, is being endorsed by runner and cyclist Neville Billimoria and the Hyderabad Runners.
“The funds raised from the event will be contributed to Seek Foundation, an NGO that works towards welfare activities for women,” said Dinesh Raj, managing director, Quanta - G. Vimala Britto, founder, Seek Foundation; Thomas – St.Brittos College of Logistics; Anirudh, DRR, Rotary Dist.3150; and Sagarika Melkote, vice president, Hyderabad Runners, graced the occasion.
