Govt school students have a blast.Chiguru-2015, an inter-school cultural and literary festival, was held at G Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Sciences (GNITS), Mehdipatnam, on Sunday.

Chiguru-2015, an inter-school cultural and literary festival, was held at G Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Sciences (GNITS), Mehdipatnam, on Sunday.The festival witnessed the participation of over 4,000 underprivileged government school students from the city. The event was organized by Youth for Seva, Hyderabad Chapter.

Throughout the day, the kids participated in 13 different competitions including relay race, running race, sack race, singing, dancing, rangoli, fancy dress, quiz, science experiments, Just A Minute and spelling test. Apart from this, traditional dances were staged. The eminent panel of judges including art connoisseurs, music and dance, yoga experts and professors from various colleges.

Youth for Seva coordinator K Sesha Aditya said, “YFS has been organising this festival every year. The participants are children studying in government and non-formal schools where our volunteers are involved in various activities. Apart from enhancing their talents, cultural activities help build self-esteem, focus and commitment.”
