Swachh SwaYUM translates into the belief that it starts with me. As part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell have decided to kickstart awareness amongst their 10,000 employees. The employees stepped out across 81 cities to clean a kilometre surrounding the 400 odd restaurants as part of the campaign.

Commenting on the initiative, Niren Chaudhary, president, Yum! Restaurants India, said, “The campaign is an initiative to contribute and give back to the community in which we operate and with the help of our 10,000 employees, we were able to spread awareness and clean over 400 kms. We are proud to see each of our employees take up the pledge to make their contribution towards a cleaner India.”

Yum! India is tieing-up with the NGO Force to adopt a village and create awareness among the residents about sanitation and hygiene. As part of the Swachh SwaYUM campaign, Yum! Restaurants will conduct the cleanliness drive twice a year to keep this initiative a sustained practice.
