Hyderabad: The State government was determined to provide permanent shelter to poor to live with self-respect and it was imperative to use latest technology for speedy completion of the project, said Housing Minister A Indrakaran Reddy.
Inaugurating a brainstorming session for chalking out a perfect plan here on Wednesday, the Minister asked engineers, contractors and financial institutions to work together for completing on time the housing facility in the given budget. He also launched an office and a website https://www.2bhk.telangana.gov.in.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister asked experts in the real estate sector and others with experience in construction activity to give suitable suggestions for using latest technology to complete on time the housing project. “Right now, Hudco is ready to provide Rs 8,000 crore financial assistance for the flagship project and we will pool some more funds,” Indrakaran Reddy stated.

“Our plan is to build these houses in the model of G+3, G+7 and G+14 in Hyderabad to accommodate the poor,” the Minister said.
“Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has informed time and again that the poor should live in complete self respect with two bedroom housing facility and the government will not compromise on spending required funds. As per estimates and funds planned, we are trying to involve all the stakeholders for the project which should be completed on time in the given budget using the latest technology,” he remarked.
Those who attended the meeting came up with proposals of financial assistance and cooperation in the
construction of houses as per the scheme. Municipal Administration Principal Secretary M G Gopal, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Janardhan Reddy, Housing Secretary Ashok Kumar, Housing Corporation Chief Engineer Eshwaraiah and others were present.
