Hyderabad: Telangana State Transco and Genco Chairman and Managing Director D Prabhakar Rao said that TS Power utilities have been able to supply quality, reliable power to all categories of consumers without cuts.Speaking at State Formation Day celebrations at the premises of TS TRANSCO on Friday,

Prabhakar Rao said that Government of Telangana has introduced ambitious programmes of supplying quality power to industries under TS-iPASS policy, nine hours power to agriculture sector and taken up massive lift irrigation schemes. It had also succeeded in providing uninterrupted 24x7 power for various scheme.

Several major mile stones have been achieved in the history of Telangana during the last year. The 600 mw Kakatiya Thermal Power Plant stage-II at Bhoopalpally, 4 X 60 mw (240 mw ) units of Hydro capacity at Lower Jurala and first unit of 30 mw of Pulichintala were commissioned during the last one year. The KTPS VII stage (800mw) works are going on war footing, he said.

TS Transco has commissioned 54 EHV substations and added 2,376 circuit kilo-meters of transmission network after formation of Telangana. JMD of Transco C Srinivasa Rao, directors G Narsing Rao, T Jagath Reddy, J Surya Prakash, directors of Genco C Radha Krishna, M Sachidanandam, Ch Venkata Rajam, S Ashok Kumar, Lalith Kumar and KRK Reddy were present.
