Kadapa: Samaikyandhra agitation has made two faction families to forget their rivalry in Jammalamadugu of Kadapa district. Devagudi Congress MLA Adinarayana Reddy and TDP leader Ponnapureddy Ramasubba Reddy of Gundlakunta village of Pedda Mudiyam are the two families which have been facing faction rivalry going on since a few decades. But these two families are now treading the same path and sharing the same platform. Along with this duo, MLA brother and YSR Congress Party MLC Narayana Reddy also leading the public for united State.

From staff of revenue, electricity, social welfare and all government departments to students and teachers all took to protests for united State in Kadapa district. Proddatur, Jammalamadug, Pulivendula, Rajampet, Railway Kodur, Kamalapuram, Rayachoti and all other mandal head quarters echoed with slogans for Samaikyandhra on Thursday, the ninth day of agitation.

RTC buses were limited to depots only. Other vehicles were stranded due to the rasta rokos. Lawyers in special attires took out a rally in the town. Police took farmers into custody who were taking out a rally with bullock carts which sparked a minor argument between them. Rayachoti MLA Srikanth Reddy visited the protest camp at the Collectorate and extended his support for Samaikyandhra. Students of Proddatur held a candle light rally in the town.

Students took out a huge rally with the effigy of Sonia Gandhi and held cremation to the effigy in Proddatur. The students of Chaitanya Bharati Engineering College obstructed the road on Sivalayam and played kabaddi.
