Cops asked to be more people-friendly
Verma, on a visit to the district on Tuesday, inspected several police stations and enquired the steps the officials taking for investigating cases.At Khammam Urban Crime Police station, the DIG Ravi Verma went through the records of various cases which were under investigation and the complaints received on various issues.

He suggested the police officials to be strict in maintaining the law and order along with taking all measures for punishing the culprits involved in criminal cases.
Later, the DIG planted a sapling on the premises of the police station and suggested the police officials maintain the surroundings neat and clean.
District Superintendent of Police Shanawaz Qasim, Additional Superintendent of Police Sai Krishna, Divisional Superintendent of Police K Suresh Kumar and Circle Inspector Nagendra Chary were present along with other police officials.
