Khammam: Superintendent of Police Shanawaz Qasim ordered the police officials to keep a vigil on anti-social activities and suggested them put a check to such activities, here in Khammam on Friday.

The SP chaired a special review meeting with the police officials here at NB Conference Hall on Friday. Addressing the officials, the SP directed them to keep a check on anti-social activities such as playing cards, Matka, illegal production of Gudumba, Gutka and prostitution and act strict by taking stringent actions against those involved in such activities.

He also ordered them to conduct raids on the fake seed storage centres by taking the help of officials concerned and slap PD Act against those involved in it.

“Act strict with the persons involved in land mafia who are encroaching the government and private lands by producing fake documents,” ordered the Superintendent o f Police.

The SP further added that they had received information about making of illicit liquor in 18 villages and asked the officials to conduct raids apart from taking stringent steps to prevent its recurrence.

“No need to comprise on maintaining law and order. Depending on the needs of people, discharge the duties perfectly with commitment and solve their problems,” the SP ordered the officials.

Deputy Superintendent of Police K Suresh Kumar, DTC DSP Ismail, AR DSP Sanjeev, Circle inspectors Thirupathi Reddy, Naresh Reddy, Venkata Narasaiah, Rehaman, Nagendra Chary, Kiran Kumar, Vijay Kumar and Raji Reddy were present along with others.
