Bathukamma celebrated at Suryapet Collectorate
District Collector Surendra Mohan stated that Bathukamma was the festival of women and colorful flowers of the region. On Friday, the Collector attended as chief guest to the Bathukamma celebrations, organised by district cultural, tourism and DPRO jointly, at the Collectorate.

Women employees of various departments participated in the event. Speaking on the occasion, Surendra Mohan said to bring happiness in the lives of women, the government had distributed 3.5 lakh sarees to economically poor women who attained 18 years of age.
DRDO PD Kiran Kumar, DPRO Yasa Venkateshwarlu, DEIE Sariah, CPO Subbarao, DPO Anuradha, DEO Venkata Narsamma, DFO Praveena, DM Civil Supplies Rampathi, GM DIC Babu Rao and women participated in the celebrations.
