Bhongir: Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Mahesh Bhagwat said that several changes took place in policing after the formation of Telangana State.

On Friday, he along with District Collector Anitha Ramachandran and Government Whip Gongadi Sunitha inaugurated CCTV Control Centre at Yadagirigutta police station.

Speaking on the occasion, he said security would be provided to Yadadri shrine similar to the security provided to Alipiri at Tirupati.

As the hill shrine is developing as one of the top holy places in the country, a special control room with advanced technology would be setup at Yadadri as a part of it, he informed.

CCTV cameras were already setup in as many as 11 mandals in Yadadri district and they would be setup in the remaining three mandals very soon. He urged the NRIs to extend their cooperation for setting up CCTV cameras for the security of the people of the district.

On behalf of the department, a coaching institute would be established to help the unemployed youth in competitive exams.

Collector Anitha Ramachandran felt that the government has succeeded in providing friendly policing in the State. CCTV cameras will help the police in solving crimes, she added.

Government whip Gongidi Sunitha inaugurated the new building of circle office at Yadagirigutta. MLC Aliminenti Krishna Reddy, DCP Yadagiri, ACP Chandra Mohan and others participated in the programme.
