Farmers urged to insure crops

The premium for mango crop can be paid according to Restructured Weather-based Crop Insurance Scheme (RWBCIS). The premium for each mango tree aged between five and 15 years is Rs 22.50, while for the tree aged between 15 and 50 years is Rs 42.50.
“United India Insurance Company Limited was chosen as the insurance provider for the district,” he added, urging the farmers to avail of the opportunity.
