Duplicate tea powder racket busted
The Suryapet police arrested a vendor in connection with duplicate tea powder racket and seized tea powder worth Rs 50,000 from his possession.

The arrested vendor was identified as Kota Srinivas Rao from Jaggaiahpet of Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh.Producing the accused before the media here on Wednesday, Suryapet DSP Nageshwar Rao informed that reacting on a tip off, the police arrested Srinivas Rao of AP, who has been selling duplicate tea powder packets that were brought from Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
On questioning, the accused revealed about his duplicate tea powder business and police recovered 180 kgs of duplicate tea powder packets, which cost about Rs 50,000. Town CI Mogilaiah and other officials participated in the press meet.
