Khammam: The district president of the Most Backward Class Union (MBC), Pakala Upendar on Tuesday demanded the government implement reservations for the people belonging to A, B, C and D sub-castes in Backward Classes in the next local body elections here.

A general body meeting was held with the representatives of MBC union here at R&B guest house here on Tuesday.

Speaking at the meeting, P Upendar demanded the State government release the details of allotted Rs 1,000 crores budget to MBC and announce the reservation quota for each sub-caste in Backward class.

A round table conference will be conducted with intellectuals and educationists for implementation of reservations for A, B, C and D sub-categories of backward castes in next local body elections, he informed. He also demanded the government for allotment of double bedroom houses and pensions for the eligible people belonging to MBC.

The body made a resolution for submitting the representation to the Roads & Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao and local MLC Puvvada Ajay Kumar seeking them to take initiation for solving various problems of MBC people.

The representatives of MBC Union T Lakshmi Narayana, Y Vinay Kumar, G Sitharamaiah, Danepalli Venkanna, Chand Anand, Devella Veerababu, Chandrashekar Rao, Uppala Sathyanarayan, Pandu Ranga Swamu, Garidepalli Sathyanarayana, Ramaswamy, Muttaiah and Akkinapalli Krishna were present.
