Khammam: The Telangana Joint Action Committee (T-JAC) condemned the actions of Telugu Desam leaders who attacked and insulted a Dalit woman at Jerripothulapalem village in Pembarthi mandal of Visakhapatnam in the neighbouring Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking at a meeting held in Khammam on Thursday, JAC District Committee convener Bhadru Naik alleged that TDP leaders who belong to upper castes were attacking people belonging to SCs, STs, BCs and Minorities and were discriminating against them.

When Durgamma, a Dalit woman of Jerripothulapalem questioned the yellow party leaders of their irregularities and encroachments, they attacked and insulted her in the public, he pointed out.

“TDP leaders who came to power with the vote bank of SCs, STs, BCs and Minorities are now ruling the State undemocratically by discriminating against Dalits and other lower castes with the encouragement of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu,” he accused.

He further threatened to launch a protest if the AP government failed to bring the culprits to book. Committee leaders G Shankar Naik, Y Vikram Kumar, Veeranna, Nagaraju, Lakshman, Rama Rao and Kittu were present along with others.
