Khammam MLA hands over CMRF cheque to heart patient
Local MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar on Wednesday handed over a cheque for Rs 5 lakh to the family members of one D Srinivas Rao who is suffering from heart ailment. He had spent lakhs for treatment and could not afford to pay more. He needed immediate surgery at NIMS, Hyderabad, that would cost Rs 5 lakh.
Khammam: Local MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar on Wednesday handed over a cheque for Rs 5 lakh to the family members of one D Srinivas Rao who is suffering from heart ailment. He had spent lakhs for treatment and could not afford to pay more. He needed immediate surgery at NIMS, Hyderabad, that would cost Rs 5 lakh.
Rao’s family took the issue to the notice of the MLA, who in turn sought funds from Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for the surgery. The Chief Minister sanctioned the amount from the CM’s Relief Fund as advance. On Wednesday, Ajay Kumar handed over the sanctioned cheque to Rao’s family in the presence of corporators Kamarthapu Murali, Burri Krishnaveni, Head of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions Mallempati Sridhar, TRS leader Burri Vinay Kumar, youth leaders Kasthala Kranthi Kumar and Bachchu Vijay Kumar.
