Parties celebrate RD on a grand note in Khammam
The leaders of the various political parties and representatives of people’s organisations celebrated 69th Republic Day in various functions in Khammam on Friday.

Congress MLC Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy unfurled the national flag at his camp office here and made a pledge along with party leaders for maintaining peace and harmony and protecting national integrity.
Later, he participated in flag hoisting ceremony in several divisions of the city and in the rally took out by party leaders. Sweets were distributed to children marking the occasion. MLA P Srinivas Reddy advised the youth to strive hard for fulfilling the aspirations of great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Dr B R Ambedkar, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Vallabhbhai Patel.
K Ranga Rao, R Manohar Naidu, M D Fazal, R Sharath, S Sridhar Reddy, K Gopal, T Lakshminarasimha Rao, T Hanumanth Rao, Ramana, D Venkatrao, Chote Baba, M.D Isaac, Shiva Reddy and Shankar Naik were present along with others.
The representatives of CPM in association with T-MAS paid tributes to the Architect of Indian Constitution, Dr B R Ambedkar, by garlanding his statue. They took pledge for protecting the Indian Constitution at Muthyalamma Gudi centre in the city.
