Unknown miscreants torch red gram crop

Nalgonda: In a bizarre incident, unknown offenders put fire to red gram crop of a framer after tying him to a cot on which he slept. The incident took place at Talla Vellemla village of Chityal mandal on Wednesday late night.

According to victim farmer Jammu Chennulu, four unknown offenders, who wearing masks, entered his field and tied him to the cot on which he was sleeping with drip pipes. After looting the few heaps of red gram crop, they put fire to the fields.

However, the farmer escaped when the drip pipes that was tied to the cot loosened after catching fire. In his complaint to local police, Chennulu mentioned that offenders looted the red gram worth Rs 60,000 and urged the officials to render justice to him.
