Khammam: A youth from Tamil Nadu who was undergoing treatment for dementia (loss of memory) with the support of Annam Foundation in association with District Legal Cell Authority has been handed over to his family members here in Khammam on Tuesday.

According to sources, Saravanan (25), a resident of Mopparipaleyam of Tamil Nadu, has been suffering from dementia for the last few years and left his home in 2014. He reached Khammam district in 2016.

With the help of District Legal Cell Authority, Srinivas Rao of Annam Foundation took the responsibility of Saravanan and provided him necessary treatment at Hyderabad. After recovery, Saravanan revealed his address and his details of his parents.

The District Legal Cell Authority with the cooperation of various departments traced the address of Saravanan’s family members and invited them to Khammam. They handed over Saravanan to his family members as per the suggestions given by Secretary of District Legal Cell Authority Vinod Kumar in front of the Second Additional Magistrate Geeta Rani here on Tuesday.

District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar, Bhadradri-Kothagudem District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu and Judge Lakshman along with family members of Saravanan appreciated the efforts of Annam Foundation chief Srinivas Rao.
