Superintendent of Police Amber Kishore Jha gave away a cheque for Rs 7 lakhs to the family members of a deceased police constable, here at his office on Thursday. Police constable Keshava Rao died in a road accident while on duty at Aswaraopet mandal last year.

Speaking on the occasion, the SP said the amount was released from the security corpus fund and asked the department to support for the welfare of police families.
Officer on Special Duty D Uday Kumar Reddy, Assistant Superintendent of Police Sunil Dutt, RI Krishna, Office Superintendent Jaya Raju, Junior Assistant Kishore Kumar, Police Sangham President Srinivas participated in the programme.
