Ponguleti demands launch of works of underbridge
Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Friday demanded that works on underbridge at Sarathinagar be speeded up. He said though foundation stone was laid several years ago, the works on the bridge had not started as result of which the people in the surrounding areas are facing hardship.

The MLC along with other Congress party leaders inspected the place where the Sarathinagar underbridge is proposed here in Khammam. The party leaders interacted with the local people to know their problems.
Speaking on the occasion, Sudhakar Reddy said the construction of Sarathinagar railway underbridge would help the people living in Mammilagudem, Sarathinagar, Bhuranpuram, bus depot and Gandhi chowk of Khammam city.
Due to delay in the construction works, the people are facing lot of problems, he added. After inspecting the land where the underbridge construction works are proposed, the MLC enquired the City Municipal Commissioner Sandeep Kumar Jha about the reason for the delay and urged him to take initiative for starting the works immediately. He also requested the Commissioner to shift the Dumping yard which is present in the bypass road of SC Colony which is posing problems to the people living in that area.
The Congress party corporator Nagandla Deepak Chowdhari, District leader K Ranga Rao, Youth Congress Secretary Ramshetti Manohar Naidu, NSUI district president Yadlapalli Santhosh and Maddi Veera Reddy were present along with others.
