20 passengers injured as bus falls into feeder channel
As many as 20 passengers injured when a private bus in which they were travelling turned turtle and fell into a feeder channel on Hyderbad–Vijayawada national highway at Aitipamula under Kattangur mandal in the district in the early hours of Friday.
Nalgonda: As many as 20 passengers injured when a private bus in which they were travelling turned turtle and fell into a feeder channel on Hyderbad–Vijayawada national highway at Aitipamula under Kattangur mandal in the district in the early hours of Friday.
The bus, belonging to Sri Venkateshwara travels, was on its way to Hyderabad from Bhadrachalam when the accident took place. The passengers had a miraculous escape because of low level of water in the channel. The bus driver fled the spot.
Kattangur police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Kamineni hospital at Narketpally by 108 ambulance. Kattangur police filed a case and took up investigation.
In another incident in Yadadri-Bhongir district, four persons were injured, when a car in which they were travelling overturned at Valigonda. The injured were shifted to Bhongir Area Hospital. The condition of two of the injured is stated to be critical.
