Officials directed to expedite NIMS works
Medical and Health Principle Secretary Shantha Kumari on Tuesday directed the officials to complete all the pending works in the NIMS here at the earliest to provide quality treatment to the patients from July onwards.

The Principal Secretary along with District Colllector Anitha Ramachandran inspected the ongoing works in Bibinagar NIMS hospital. She also inspected the Gynaecology and, Emergency wards, besides Operation Theatre.
Later, she held a review meeting with the Collector, Administrative Officer and others. She directed the officials to complete the works of NIMS as per schedule.
She instructed the officials to complete the works of hospital on war-footing, as there is no dearth of funds. All vacant posts in the hospital would be filled in out- sourcing, she said.
She inquired about the out patients, bed strength, staff. She also inquired about the allocated funds and their expenditure during the meeting.
Later she made surprise visit to local PHC and expressed her displeasure over the functioning of hospital and directed the Collector Anitha Ramachandran to take action against the duty doctor who failed to turn up for duty.
In the programme, Joint Collector Ravi Naik, DMHO Dr Sambashiva Rao, Area hospital coordinator Kotya Naik, RDO Boopal Reddy and others participated.
