The Maoists called for the Stated bandh in protest against what they described as series of “encounter killings” in Dandakaranya forest region. The Maoists launched the violent attack and blasted the culvert a few kilometres away from Kaliveru, a border village along the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border where 151 Battalion Base Camp is located.

In another development, Maoists put up hand-written wall posters at Gogubaka village in the same mandal condemning the recent “encounters” in Gadchiroli of Maharashtra and Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh. in which over 50 Maoist cadres were killed.

In the same Charala mandal,a big trees was felled and placed across the road at the project of the Taliperu near Tippapuram Main road.The Maoistslefta wall poster on the spot, saying that the government was engineering “fake encounters” on the Maoists.

A police team visited the places where violent incidents took place. The police along with the CRPF personnel chekced the vehicles and luanched combing in the forest. Shops and petrol bunks were shut, inconveniencing the people in tribal areas.
