Two persons and five goats were killed due to lightning in Mahbubnagar district. A shepherd, Boya Shekar, who hailed from Hajilapur village under Devarkadra mandal was fatally struck by lightning when he took shelter under a tree along with his goats from thunderstorm.

In an another incident at Kotakadra village in Mahbubnagar mandal, Dubba Bheemamma (55) was also struck by a lightning when he was working in his agriculture field.
