Former Minister and senior Congress leader Vanama Venkateswara Rao took part in the dharna. Speaking at a meeting held on the occasion, he confidently said that the people will reject the TRS in the coming elections.

Stating that the tribals have been tilling the lands in agency areas since several years and facing problems without pattadar passbooks for the lands, Rao demanded the government implementation of Rythu Bandhu Scheme to podu lands also in the district. He criticized that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is trying to attract people with his speeches.

Before the dharna, a huge rally conducted by the party leaders and workers from Kothagudem, Palvoncha and other places in the district. Late, a memorandum was submitted to District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu seeking issuance of pattas for podu lands to tribals.

Party leaders Vanama Raghavendra Rao, MA Razak, G Jyothi, B Veeraiah, K Ramaswamy, Kothwala Srinivas, Ramalingam, Balaprasad, S Venkanna, Kanaka Raju, Ramachander, Veera Swamy and others participated in the dharna and rally.
