Miryalguda: District legal Services Authority Secretary K Prabhakar Rao here on Wednesday stressed the need for creating awareness among people about the rights guaranteed by the Constitution. Speaking at a meeting, after inaugurating legal service centre at Bakavadi school here, Prabhakar Rao said people should be educated guaranteed by the constitution.
He said the Legal Services Centre would extend all help to the people, particularly the poor. The Authority would pay fee for advocates. The poor, whose annual income is less than Rs 1 lakh, are eligible for free legal aid, he said.
Stating that he was student of a government school, Prabhakar Rao said the government schools in the State have been providing quality education on a par with private corporate schools. It is duty of everybody to eradicate child labour and child marriages to create a healthy society. He advised the students to have the knowledge on laws during the school studies
She Team in-charge sub-inspector Ramanjaneyulu, ASI Tabitha advised the women to dial 100 for assistance. The police would install grievances boxes in all schools. The CCTV cameras too wold be installed in front of the educational institutions, they said.
Traffic sub-inspector Bixapathi, school headmaster Purshotham Rao, Vidya Committee Chairman Nagesh and school staff participated in the programme.
