Implement Govt schemes effectively, officials told

Khammam: Joint Collector Surendra Mohan has asked the officials to implement various welfare schemes launched by the State and Central Governments effectively so that all the beneficiaries in the district get the benefits of the schemes. As part of `Grievance Day,' the Joint Collector received petitions from the public at the Collectorate here on Monday. He later addressed the officials. The officials of DRDA, Housing, Social Welfare and other departments have to work with coordination so that the financial and other benefits of welfare schemes reach the beneficiaries promptly, he said. He said that the officials have to take proper steps for distribution of monthly pensions to old people, widows, physically challenged persons and other categories. Housing loans have to be provided to all eligible persons. Surendra Mohan also asked the officials to take follow-up action on the grievances received from general public and try to solve them at the earliest. DRO TA Jayachander and officials of various departments participated in the programme.
