bayyaram bus yatraThe two-day bus yatra of Telangana JAC leaders to prevent diversion of iron ore from the Bayyaram mines to Visakhapatnam steel plant concluded at Khammam on Tuesday. A The bus yatra started at Bhimdevarapalli in Karimnagar district on Monday, passed through Warangal district and reached Khammam. The JAC leaders examined the iron ore mines in Gudur in Warangal district and Bayyaram in Khammam district.

Later addressing a public meeting at Bayyaram, the T JAC Chairman M Kodanda Ram warned the state government not to divert the valuable iron ore from Telangana for the development of Andhra area. He alleged that the Kiran Kumar Reddy government hatched a conspiracy to loot the mineral wealth of Telangana and said they would never allow it. Addressing the public meeting, the TRS leader Eetela Rajender, MLA said they would launch a powerful movement to set up a steel plant at Bayyaram to utilise mineral wealth for the development of Telangana region.

He called upon the people to vote against Congress for neglecting Telangana and teach a lesson to Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy. A TNGO leader Devi Prasad, Telangana Gazetted Officers Association leader Srinivas Goud, Pro, Sitaram Naik, New Democracy state leader Govardhan and former MLA Gummadi Narasiah addressed the public meeting.
