UPA govt is making mockery of democracy: BJP

Vijayawada: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Krishna District President Ramineni Venkata Krishna alleged that the UPA government is making mockery of democracy. Speaking at the district committee meeting here on Sunday, he alleged that the Ministers, public representatives of the Congress governments at the Central and State governments are facing corruption charges. The common man is struggling for existence as prices of essential commodities are skyrocketing. Similarly, industrial development in the State came to a grinding halt due to irregular power cuts. He called upon the BJP leaders to motivate the cadres in the villages and highlight the government failures in public platform. Several resolutions were passed in the district committee meeting. One among them was development of Gannavaram Airport; second resolution was passed on construction of Machilipatnam port; third resolution was passed on supply of seven-hour electricity supply to the farmers. BJP State Committee member KVP Veerabadra Rao, Kisan Morcha President Tummala Kishore, BJP Mahila Morcha President Krishna Kumari, Minority Cell President Sk Saidha and other district committee members were present.
