Laksha Tulasidala puja at Mahalakshmi Yagam

Vijayawada: Devotees on Tuesday participated in the 'Laksha Tulasidala puja' at Sri Mahalakshmi Yagam which is being held at Swarajya Maidan under the aegis of Sri Tridandi Sriramachandra Ramanuja Jeeya Swamiji. Addressing the devotees, the Seer invoked the blessings of Lord Krishna on the occasion. He said that the Mahalakshmi Yagam would remain a special occasion in the city for ever. He wanted the devotees to take part in the Yagam and seek the blessings of the Lord. As the yagam was performed, the devotees chanted slogans of Jai Govinda. Meanwhile, the organising committee said that Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah would participate in the Yagam on Wednesday, which is the birthday of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi. The organisers have made special arrangements to celebrate the birthday of the deity. They have brought over 2,000 litres of milk to prepare a sea of milk symbolising the deity's birth. They would conduct Lakshminarayana Kalyanam on the day.
