newVijayawada: The Telugu Desam's new city team here on Thursday vowed to fight for the issues concerning the people of the city. They said that they would be available for the people all the time and expose the failures of the ruling Congress. The TD leader and in-chrage of Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency, Kesineni Nani and urban unit president, K Nagul Meera, alleged that the local MP, Lagadapati Rajagopal, MLAs Malladi Vishnu and Vellampalli Srinivas had miserably failed to work for the city development. They said that the leaders have failed to get the flyover at Kanakadurga temple, Outer Ring Road for the city, even as people were fighting for them. Kesineni Nani said that the MP had neglected the development of seven Assembly segments that form part of the Lok Sabha constituency. He said that the MP was spending more time and energy on national and international issues while neglecting the local issues concerning the people. He said that people, who voted for Lagadapati Rajagopal were regretting now and were waiting for next elections to unseat him. He asserted that the TD would win the Lok Sabha seat in the next elections with thumping majority. He said that the party chief N Chandrababu Naidu would inaugurate the party's Lok Sabha constituency office on May 15 on M G Road near old bus station. The office would have helpline with sufficient number of staff attending to the problems of the people from the seven Assembly segments. Nagul Meera said that the party was fighting on issues like flyover at Kanakadura temple and flood bank along River Krishna. He asserted that he would extend his support to the leaders on the issues and reiterated that the party would continue to fight in the days to come. The two leaders thanked the party leadership for appointing them to the respective posts and expressed confidence that they would be able to lead the party to victory in the next elections. The party senior leaders, Buddha Venkanna, Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, E Sambasiva Rao, K Hanumantha Rao, M Narayanamma, K Devamani and others were present.
