Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector Dr Buddha Prakash M Jyothi, here on Thursday, asked the bankers to complete the Aadhaar card linkage process for LPG supply as the Money Transfer Scheme is scheduled to begin in the district from
September 1.
Addressing the district-level consultative meeting with the bankers, Dr Buddha Prakash Jyothi said that the LPG consumers would get the subsidy only if their Aadhaar cards are linked with their savings bank accounts. He said that the LPG customers have completed the linkage of their Aadhaar cards with the LPG dealers. However, they have not linked their cards with the banks to receive the subsidy, he said.
He asked the banks to launch intensive campaign in villages to create awareness among people to get their Aadhaar cards linked with their bank accounts. He also directed the officials of the DRDA to create awareness among people on Aadhaar-bank linkage.
Referring to the agriculture loans, Dr Buddha Prakash Jyothi said that the banks have extended Rs 1709 crore loans against the annual kharif target of Rs 1997 crore. He wanted the bank officials and the district officials to ensure that the banks completed 100 per cent target.
The Collector also directed the officials of all departments to ensure that financial benefits and the welfare schemes reached to real beneficiaries. He wanted the heads of the departments to monitor the implementation of the welfare schemes and disbursement of loans to the people covered by the respective department.
