Kurnool: Proclainer owners brought their vehicles in a rally here on Thursday to stage rasta roko to mark their protest against the division of the state on the 37th day of the agitation. Teachers took out a rally in the attire of the former President of India Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan as part of the Teachers’ Day celebrations on Thursday.

The Electricity employees laid siege to the houses of Union Minister Kotla Jaya Suryaprakash Reddy and Minister for Minor Irrigation TG Venkatesh demanding their resignation and join the agitation. They said that the people of the State would be losers if the state was divided. The joint action committees of teachers, employees, commercial taxes department have organised a massive rally in the city and staged demonstration before the Collectorate. The employees of Commercial Taxes department raising slogans in favour of Sangareddy MLA Turpu Jayaprakash Reddy aka Jagga Reddy acclaiming him as the pet son of the united state.
