Telangana government’s Rythu Bandhu - the agriculture investment support scheme under which farmers will get Rs 4,000 per acre per season as input assistance, is all set to for launch tomorrow.

Extending support to all the 72.09 lakh farmers in the state, the scheme also is distributing cheque and passbooks for the farmers.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will officially launch the scheme at Huzurabad in Karimnagar district on Thursday, while his Cabinet colleagues and elected representatives will hand over the cheques and passbooks to farmers in their respective constituencies.

The department has constituted 2,762 special teams for the week-long programme and each team will consist of three revenue officials and two local gram panchayat employees.

2,000 buses have been deployed for the mobilization of farmers from Karimnagar district. Huge Marquees are set up to accommodate one lakh farmers within barricades. Drinking water and lunch arrangements have been made for the farmers.

In all the villages, the coupons identifying location and counter numbers for the collection of cheques and passbooks have already been distributed. Around 10 counters will be opened in every village for the distribution programme. Government schools, cooperative societies, and other government buildings in every village have been identified to hold the programme.
