An Air Asia flight made an emergency landing at Rajiv Gandhi International airport after the pilots detected smoke in the air.

The flight was on its way to Bangalore from Amritsar. The Air Traffic Control (ATC) announced an emergency as the pilots of flight no 1629 informed them.

The plane landed safely here on Saturday night and passengers are reported to be safe.
