The Hyderabad police on Sunday arrested a driver for stealing Rs 75 lakh cash from a couple here in Kompally.
According to police, the couple kept the cash at home which they got by selling a land at Kothur in Siddipet. The accused Ravi Kumar who saw the money robbed it when the owners went out for some work. He then hid the money on the terrace.
On learning the theft, the couple Reddy and Lakshmi lodged a complaint with the police who suspected the driver and inquired him. On questioning him, Ravi confessed to stealing the money.
The police recovered the money from him and handed it over to the couple.
