Liquor shops in the state and within 5 km from Telangana border will be remained closed from December 5 to 7. The shops also include pubs, restaurants and military canteens selling liquor will be closed for the 48 hours.
The Hyderabad district election officer M Dana Kishore said that even the registered clubs and restaurants are also asked to stop serving liquor during the specified time.
The Election Commission has restricted the liquor flow in the city ahead of the Telangana assembly elections and so far Rs 8.8 crore worth liquor has been seized by the police.
