A 16-year-old girl committed suicide on Friday after being raped by a man and his son here in Nampally mandal of Nalgonda district.
The miscreants sexually assaulted the girl who is a daily wage labourer and belongs to the same village Tirumulgiri of Nampally mandal. On Thursday, when the girl complained of stomach ache, she was taken to a hospital by her parents where the doctor declared she was pregnant. However, she disclosed the matter to her family after being confronted.
When the girl's family along with the villagers went to the accused house, they gave Rs 5000 to them to get the child aborted. On Friday, when the girl went to the hospital for an abortion, the doctors denied to it.
Depressed over it, she committed suicide by consuming pesticide. Based on the complaint lodged by the girl's parents, the police registered a case and are probing into it.
