Amaravati: The AP Real Time Governance Society has taken mitigation measures based on the forecast of ISRO on the severe cyclone Phethai.

It alerted all the District Administration – District Collectors, Joint Collector and DROs. All are aware and taking precautionary measures. Already districts like Nellore and East Godavari have held district wise preparatory meetings. Identified all coastal mandals from Guntur to North Coastal Andhra and fishermen alerted.

MROS, MPDOs and FDOs of all mandals have been alerted. State and District Agricultural Teams alerted. IVRS blast taken up for farmers also using PSS data. Paddy procurement centres facilitated. District Transport and State Transport Authority alerted have identified important highways/ routes on the coast to take precautionary measures.

Electricity Department has been alerted and pole wise geo-coordinates taken. Telecom service providers are prepared for handling in case of emergency.

All Depts like Water supply, Panchayat Raj, Civil Supplies, Health & Medical welfare alerted. List of 572 villages of 42 mandals (Prakasam – Srikakulam) shared district wise to RWS Dept. All municipalities alerted. Fire dept alerted – list of gensets available district wise being taken.
