Mithali needs support

It was very sad to read that cricket living legend Mithali Raj commenting the recent development as ‘the darkest day of my life’. Such a good performer who made various records to her name is a victim of a biased attitude by the coach and a woman selector. If a best cricketer gets this type of wrong attitude so what new players would get. There is a need to change the tendency of the coach and they should look all the players with equal behaviour. It is the duty of the coach to improve the confidence of the players not embarrassing them.

I think BCCI would look into the matter and give justice to the cricketer and give her more chances to play cricket and prove the mettle. I request the cricket captain Harmanpreet and team members to come out and explain her team player Mithali Raj's attitude and behaviour and what circumstances had made her to sit outside the team in the semi-final match between India vs England match. Hope all the cricket team players would help the team cricketer Mithali Raj to come out of the difficult situation and start the new innings of cricket with confidence. - Syed Nisar Mehdi, Hyderabad
