Adnan Sami told to hand over passport to police

Mumbai:The Bombay high court has instructed Adnan Sami to hand over his passport to the local police and intensified his troubles. It is evident that the Pakistani musician and Singer, Adnan Sami has been facing a probe based on the complaint received from his ex-wife Sabah Galadari that Adnan has been allegedly involved in harassing her. It is worth mentioning here that Sami is currently staying with his third wife Roya Faribi in a flat in Mumbai.

After hearing the arguments on Wednesday against the pleas of Sabah, Justice R P Sondurbaldota ordered Adnan Sami to give his passport to the investigating officer, immediately. In her arguments, Sabah pleaded that Adnan was not complying with the May 2009 order of the high court granting him anticipatory bail in the same case. The high court had asked Sami to furnish two sureties which he did. However, in July this year both sureties told the court that they wanted to withdraw their sureties and the same was allowed by the honorable court. Sabah's lawyers Mahesh Jethmalani and Edith Dey pleaded that as there is no one to stand surety for Sami now, so, pleaded the lawyers that it was a violation of the 2009 order. From the other end, the lawyer of Sami informed the court that Sami could not attend the court as he was not doing well.

In a recent appeal made to the High Court of Bombay, Adnan sought permission to go abroad for concerts. The court in turn ordered him to produce of the evidences and the detailed schedule of his concerts, which he is yet to submit. The decision has been adjourned for December, 23 as of now.

It is evident that the high court, on December 16, had asked Sami to vacate the five-in-one duplex flats in Oberoi Sky Garden at Lokhandwala Complex in upscale Andheri within 2 months to facilitate the entry of Sabah who claimed it was her matrimonial home.
