Hyderabad: At early hours on Monday, a tourist bus owned by Rajesh Travels hit the divider at Hosakote near Bangalore in Karnataka. As many as five passengers died on the spot, while 29 passengers got severely injured.
It is learnt that the bus was occupied with 52 passengers at the time of incident. The victims of the tragic happening have been immediately rushed to MEG hospital in Bangalore. The passengers said the driver was somnolent when the accident took place.
According to the sources, the management gave reckless answers when inquired about this mishap. It is learnt that the owner of Rajesh travels raised on the media people stating that why private buses are only targeted leaving RTC buses? According to him, the accident took place in the episode, when the driver was attempting to save a person who caused hurdles to the speeding bus on the high way.
All those who are opting to travel by bus have become cautious with the increased number of accidents of private buses. It is worth mentioning here that in the recent past many such accidents have taken place.
