Lucknow: At last, the Akhilesh Kumar’s government has responded to the increased rape activities on women in Uttar Pradesh. As many as 10 IPS officers have been transferred in this milieu. IPS officers of SP and ASP cadres have been transferred and attached to the DGP office in Lucknow, without posting them to any particular place or portfolio as of now.
It is worth mentioning here that rapes in a sequence have been taking place in Uttar Pradesh over a period of time and Akhilesh Kumar has been facing lot many criticisms over this. Holding the IPS officer as responsible for these untoward activities, reportedly, Akhilesh Kumar’s government has taken this decision.
