UANs for employees: Where to furnish KYC details? The registered employers have been asked by the EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organization) to log on to its Online Transfer of Claim Portal (OTCP) and download the Universal Account Numbers (UANs) of their employees, through SMS, email or other modes of communication.
Hyderabad: The registered employers have been asked by the EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organization) to log on to its Online Transfer of Claim Portal (OTCP) and download the Universal Account Numbers (UANs) of their employees, through SMS, email or other modes of communication.
An official press release of the organization on Monday asked the employers to update the ‘Know Your Customer’ (KYC) particulars of their employees with reference to such documents as Aadhaar number, NPR number, PAN, bank account number, driving licence, passport, ration card and election card.
Employers can access UAN and manage KYC through OTCP available at
http://www.epfindia.gov.in/UAN_Services.html
Additionally, the EPFO has also requested the employees to get UANs from their respective employers, and register on the official webpage. UANs will enable the organisation to provide services directly to members without depending on the employers, the press note added.
