ISRO has yet again given the nation a reason to smile... Well done. :) Wednesday turns to be the most important day as far as Indian Space Technology is concerned.
Wednesday turns to be the most important day as far as Indian Space Technology is concerned. The anxiety of every Indian has come to a conclusion with the success of the Mars Orbiter Mission, prestigiously undertaken by ISRO.
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) had prestigiously undertaken the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) with the sole scientific objective of exploration of Mars surface features, morphology, mineralogy and Martian atmosphere by aboriginal scientific instruments, besides many technological aspects. After completing an interplanetary journey of more than 10 months covering a distance of 484.67 million miles (780 million km), The Mars Orbiter Mission - more aptly known as Mangalyaan - entered orbit around Mars on Wednesday at 8.15 a.m.
Congratulations to @ISRO @MarsOrbiter on successful orbit insertion around #Mars, welcome to the club!
