New Delhi: A Shock for all the bar owners in Kerala, the Kerala High Court on stood firmly alongside the state’s new liquor ban decision.
A batch of writ petitions filed in the court by bar owners against the ban of Bar licenses. They challenged the Government order cancelling the bar licenses of hotels below the category of five star was cancelled.
Previously, the Supreme Court had permitted bar owners to do business till the High Court pronounced the judgment. In August, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had said that over 700 bars across the state would have their licenses cancelled.
