Kashmir elections 4th phase roundup, A voter turnout of 49 per cent was recorded in the fourth phase of Jammu and Kashmir elections, Election Commission of India said Sunday.

A voter turnout of 49 per cent was recorded in the fourth phase of Jammu and Kashmir elections, Election Commission of India said Sunday.

Polling was held in eighteen constituencies spread over four districts of Srinagar, Shopian, Anantnag and Samba.

The polling was peaceful except a few minor incidents of stone throwing incidents and clashes between workers of different political parties.

Polling percentage phase IV Srinagar/Anantnag/Shopian upto 04:00 Pm (Final) was recorded

1. Hazratbal: 28.99%
2. Zadibal: 23.53%
3. Eidgah: 27.67%
4. Khanyar: 26.13%
5. Habbakadal: 16.30%
6. Amriakadal: 23.95%
7. Sonwar: pending%
8. Batmaloo: 23.93%
9. Wachi: pending%
10. Shopian: 52.59%
11. Anatnag: 38.67%
12. Dooru: 63.94%
13. Kokernag: 64.89%
14. Sangus: 67.27%
15. Bijbehara: 53.87 %
16. Pahalgam: 67.49%

Some high profile candidates in todays IV Phase were Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, former chief minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, and ministers Ali Muhammad Sagar, G.A. Mir and Peerzada Sayeed.

Outgoing Speaker Mubarak Gul also contested from Idgah constituency in Srinagar that went to the polls Sunday.
The fifth and final phase of the elections will be held Dec 20. Votes will be counted Dec 23.
