New Delhi: After taking on Prime Minister Narendra Modi directly, Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress(TMC) is all set to play spoilsport in the fourth week of the winter session of Parliament beginning on Monday. Crucial pro-reform bills like the Insurance Laws (Amendment)Bill, 2008 and Companies(Amendment) Bill, 2014 will be taken up this week for consideration and passing in both the Houses of Parliament.

Fuming over the CBI arrest of senior West Bengal Minister Madan Mitra in the Saradha scam, the TMC supremo bristled at the Modi government, demanding even the PM’s arrest for posing along with Sahara chief Subrato Roy, “if image is proof of crime.” She warned that her party would enlist the support of other parties and stall the proceedings in the Parliament.

The TMC will also print 10 lakh posters of a photograph of Modi with the jailed Sahara chief and distribute them not only across West Bengal but also in Delhi.

In the first three weeks of the session so far, the LS has passed 13 Bills and the RS clearing nine of them. The Lok Pal and Lok Ayuktas (Amendment) Bill, 2014 is also proposed to be taken in both Houses.

In addition, the Bills proposed by the government for consideration and passing in the Lok Sabha during the rest of the session include the Regional Rural Banks (Amendment) Bill, 2014, the National Capital Territory of Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Amendment Bill, 2014, the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Bill, 2014, the Anti-Hijacking (Amendment) Bill, 2010 and the Warehousing Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2014.
