Mathura: A guard of a cow shelter in Barsana town here died after he was allegedly shot by miscreants during a scuffle, following which agitated villagers blocked Govardhan road for over two hours.
The villagers lifted the blockade after an assurance of giving compensation to his family and arrest of the accused by the police, a senior police official said today, adding that one person, identified as Lakhan has been arrested.
