HYDERABAD: Giving a clean chit to NDA Government, Former Coal Secretary P C Parakh said that he doesn’t see any political influence in summoning the former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh by the special court over the coal blocks allocation scam.

An AP cadre retired IAS official, Parakh was summoned by Delhi Court as he was instrumental in whistle blowing in the multi crore coal blocks’ auctioning scam.

On Wednesday, Parakh said that his proposals of open competitive bidding for auctioning coal blocks for captive use was destroyed by Soren but expressed shock when his name was mentioned in the CBI charge sheet in October 2013.

Later, Parakh described the coal allocation in his book “Crusader or Conspirator? Coalgate and Other Truths” that was published last year; the book mentioned Minister of state for coal Dasari Narayana Rao and former coal minister Shibu Soren undermining the authority of the PM in determining the process by which coal blocks should be allocated.
